Jeanette Sembrat is an emerging interdisciplinary artist who uses art as a way to connect to and process the world. She works across a range of media, including metal, charcoal, acrylic, and ceramics. She currently volunteers at a junior high teaching art because she believes art is often underfunded and overlooked yet essential to what makes us human. She received her BFA in Spatial Art from San Jose State University and the President’s Scholar Honor of being in the top 8% of undergraduate students. She is influenced by Katharina Grosse, Hayao Miyazaki, Caspar David Friedrich, and Cornelia Parker.
